Julia Larberg (b. 1994) is an American photographer raised in suburban Kansas. Utilizing digital and analog processes, her work attempts to make sense of intimate relationships between herself, surroundings, and history. Her current work delves into home and family (chosen and biological) as their roles are defined and redefined in relation to life transitions. 

Larberg graduated with an Associate of Arts from Johnson County Community College in 2015, with a 200 RYT certificate from Lotus Yoga in 2019, and a Bachelor of Arts from Bard College in 2023. She is a recipient of the Returning to College Scholarship and the Photography Program Senior Scholarship.

Larberg has studied with photographers such as An-My Lê, Raymond Meeks, Jasmine Clarke, worked with artists such as Arantxa Araujo, Adrianna Ault, and Philip Heying and has completed internships with arts institutions such as BOMB Magazine, Franklin Furnace Archive, Inc, and Matfield Green Works. She was awarded the Community Action Award by Bard College in 2021 and 2022 to fund unpaid internships with aforementioned arts institutions, respectively.

She has exhibited work at the Virginia Beach Arts Center (Virginia Beach, VA), Bard College (Annandale-on-Hudson, NY), Opalka Gallery (Albany, NY), and Vulpes Bastille (Kansas City, MO), among others. She works and lives between Tivoli, NY, Virginia Beach, VA, and Overland Park, KS.
